This one is pretty easy and really cute. There are so many different looks to it depending on the paper you use.
I know I’ve shown you this one before, but it is just so much fun I had to share it again.
To start, you need eight 1-7/8″ or 1-1/4″ squares of paper. Have them face down and fold in half vertically, unfold, then in half horizontally and unfold.
Fold each side so it lines up along that center fold line. Then fold the bottom edge up to the center fold line.
The trickiest part of this fold is taking the back layer of the center (this has the top crease of the fold you just made) and pulling that out to the side without letting the whole section unfold. It should look like the bottom image in the picture above.
Now, flip the whole piece over, so that sticking out triangle is on the left side. Fold the long edge up alongside the side of the piece and then unfold.
Now, you will need the end of a mechanical pencil, or something small to insert into that sticking out piece and separate it so you can smash it down lining up the fold line along the edge of your piece. It should look like a diamond.
Do this with all eight squares. You will put a drop of glue next to the bottom edge on the right side of that small diamond you just formed and lay another piece on top, lining up the bottom edges of the diamonds.
Do this with all eight pieces. You will have to pull the first piece up to glue it onto the eighth piece. Your finished piece will be a lovely Star in a Star. As you can see at the top of this post, the back of this piece is also nice looking and can be used.
Thanks for spending some time with me today!
