Step to the left, step to the right . . . (there has to be some sort of dance with those words, right).
Okay, at least enjoy a step card with the steps on the left or the right. You can do it with steps on both sides, or the center, but I’m sticking with the left and right today.
To make a side-step card, take an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of card stock, cut a line at 3-1/2″ in from 1″ to 6-3/8″. Now, on that 3-1/2″ section, score at 1″, 2″, 3-1/8″, 4-1/4″ (across whole piece) and 6-3/8″. All the score lines should be from the cut to the side, except the 4-1/4″ score line which should go across the whole card. Now, mountain fold the skinny side at the 4-1/4″ score line. On the wide (scored) side, mountain fold at 1″, valley fold at 2″, mountain fold at 3-1/8″, valley fold at 4-1/4″ (opposite of the other side) and mountain fold at 6-3/8″. Depending on which side of the card you had up with the 1″ closest to you, will be which side your steps are on. Then decorate the tall skinny section and the steps.
Have fun and thanks for spending some time with me today!
