Funky Birthday

I made this card for my nephew’s 21st birthday.  It is being entered in three challenges, the ScrapZee weekly challenge which is a CAS challenge, the StampTV challenge which is heat embossing, and the MFP SpeedyTV Friends of StampTV challenge which is to use a sentiment only.  I heat embossed my sentiment on a plain black card, that I just cut at an angle across the front and used an edger, then layered a piece of black and bronze patterned paper under.  The only thing is, my bright red embossing powder was barely visible, so I tried to go over it with a bronze Sakura Stardust pen. That looked pretty horrid, so my son suggested using a piece of bronze paper and embossing in black.  I didn’t have plain bronze, but I kind of like the funky-ness of this paper. I cut out the sentiment in a fun shape, added some piercings (holes with a pin) and I think it came out pretty fun. I’m hoping he’ll like it.

I apologize, but the computer still isn’t fixed and I can’t get the links to work.  I really suggest you go to ScrapZee.com, StampTV.ning.com and MFPSpeedyTV.ning.com and see the other wonderful creations that have been done by others. Play along yourself, too. All of the sites are free to join and it is so much fun to play along.

Thanks for spending some time with me today!
