We often try to make birthday cards seasonally appropriate. Personally, I tend to make them for the person, if I know things they are interested in. But, for Summer birthdays, there are so many possibilities. You’ve got flip flops, drinks, sun, beach, pool, and, of course, ICE CREAM. Now, as one of my friends says, “Happy Cake and Ice Cream Day”, figured this would be perfect as a birthday card.
You can’t really see it too well, but each and every ice cream scoop has sparkle to it. The ice cream and sprinkles are from the Hero Arts Ice Cream Layering set. The cherry and chocolate chips are in that set, too. I used Nuvo Crystal Drops to add some dimension and shine to all of the sprinkles and the cherry. It actually rounded the cherry up, too. There are a few bright pink sprinkles that were done with a neon pink glitter glue, too. The sparkle on the ice cream is from a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen in clear. I used that over the sentiment, as well.
So, just a fun card for a birthday any time of the year, but especially in summer.
Thanks for spending some time with me today!
