One of the things I got at the Scrapbook Expo last weekend was some Ken Oliver Color Burst watercolors. I was able to play for a few minutes this morning. This is definitely going to take some playing, but I really like them.
I had taken some Neenah Solar White #110 card stock and embossed a rectangle in clear, then embossed the large flower from the MFT Card Kit on top in rose gold. I had planned to do this card, as well as several others for the MFT Wednesday Sketch challenge last week, but this is the only one I had time to do and I did it this morning.
I only used the violet and the blue from the colors, but I love the way this turned out. It probably would have worked better had I been on watercolor paper, but this was what I had.
Used a bit of green vellum and some sparkly purple embossing powder for the sentiment, which is from the MFT Brushstroke Expressions set.
As usual, this looks so very much better in person, and I will eventually get better at taking pictures.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today! Have a wonderful day!
