Playing with Paper and Ink

Had some time today to actually create.  Can I just say, it was a very nice break.  Here’s what I created.

Pulled out my Gina K Wreath Builder Holiday set and just had some fun with snowflakes.

This next one is using the Wreath Builder, as well.  Used the Gina K stamp set More Massive Messages with it.  Using this one for the Gina K. Monthly Challenge.

This last one was fun with watercolors, some watercolor paper and the My Favorite Things Beautiful Bloom, as well as the Beautiful Blessings 2 set.  Entering this one in the MFT Card Challenges Sketch Challenge for the week.

Love how using vellum allows you to see what is behind, while shading it a bit.  The most difficult part about vellum is adhering it without the adhesive showing.  Used tiny drops of glue behind the sentiment, which doesn’t show, much.

Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me, today.  As a friend and I were just discussing, creating things is fun, relaxing, and makes us happy.  Go create something of your own!

  1. Golda, I love all of these cards. Have had a Ginas Wreath maker on my wish list for a while. After seeing your cards it has moved up a few spaces. Also, you are right about vellum. I even bought some Tombow adhesive that was made for vellum. It still shows through. Am always looking for new ways to attach it.

    1. Kathy, the best adhesive I have found for vellum is the Therm-o-Web Vellum Adhesive Runner Invisible. I used liquid glue on this one as I was adhering it to the ribbon. I do still try to keep the adhesive runner beneath things, but it is the best I’ve come across at not showing through.

  2. This is a wonderful collection of cards Golda. I especially love the praying for you card, but that is because I always gravitate to anything purple. Beautiful creations.
