Playing along with the LOVE crop at  You probably saw the O challenge, as I was hosting that and put the instructions for my Origami challenge on the blog, yesterday.

Wednesday was L is for Layout.  We were given a sketch to follow.  Here’s what I came up with for that one:

2-8-19 Crop L

Today’s challenge is V is for Vintage Valentine.  It’s a 2-fer challenge in that you got an entry for doing a vintage card and another if it is a valentine.  Here’s what I did for that one:

2-8-19 Crop V

Granted, I have a few more ideas for that one, so I may do a couple more.

As the Gina K Designs challenge for the month is to use Coral, I did this second one using their Coral Reef card, the Timeless Treasures set from Theresa Momber, and some Warm Cocoa and Dark Chocolate ink.  The first one I used some of the Gina K Designs patterned paper in Sweet Mango, which I though was fun.  There’s a lot of Apple Mint card used on the first one, too.

I have to tell you, my friend Bonnie sent me an Epielle Blush Foundation Brush that she recommended for blending ink.  I used it on a glass surface to do the shading for the V card and it worked wonderfully.  Bonnie, thank you!!!!!!

Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me today!

  1. Great cards my friend. I have arrow dies that I seldom use (am trying to organize dies right now) and I would never have thought to use one of them the way you have. Good idea and one I shall no doubt copy down the road. I do love your work.
