Galentine

Okay, so “galentine” is a bit weird, but I do like to celebrate my friends.  So, this is the valentine/galentine I made for my friend.

I used the Grand Garden set from Gina K Designs, along with the Petite Borders set for the inside.  I also used some of their Coral Reef ink and card, and some Slate card and ink, as well.

I colored the flower using a couple of different Spectrum Noir markers and the blender pen.  Actually scribbled some of a couple of colors on a glass mat and used the blender pen to “paint” the petals.  Definitely different, for me, and fun.

Thanks for spending some time with me today!

  1. This is quite beautiful and I’m sure your friend loved or will love it a lot. I like the colours and how you did them. I’ve never really used the blender pen with my markers so that is another thing to try.

    1. She did like it. I didn’t post until after she got it, as I didn’t want to spoil the surprise.
Definitely try using your markers that way. It’s lighter, but blended well and was fun shading.

    1. Thank you Verna. I don’t usually decorate the inside, as I like room to write, but I’ve been trying to add a bit, here and there, as it does dress a card up.

  2. Beautiful card. Your coloring is wonderful and I love how you did the inside. I seldom take time to decorate the inside, though I do like the finished look it gives. Love the term Galentine. We could celebrate Galentine’s Day any time of year!
