I knew what I wanted to do for the MFT Sketch challenge this week, pretty much when I saw it. Had the whole thing planned out in my head, but that isn’t quite what I wound up making. After I saw their color challenge, figured I could incorporate both into my shaker card.
I knew there would be a slight edge around my card front, so took the time to ink each side in a different color (each one of the challenge colors. The inside of the shaker is Pineapple Yellow (it’s more difficult to see in the picture than in real life). I also used the yellow, orange, red, and bright blue as the colors of the sequins in my shakers. It may not be exact, but I definitely had fun with this one, both with colors and the sketch. The shaker part just makes it fun!
I actually used my Silhouette to cut the “bubbles” and their rings, though I could have used any of my circle cutters. I cut the front panel, then “offset” it to get the “rings”. I cut three of the rings in white, one in Blu Raspberry, and one in Pineapple. I kept the inside of the Pineapple to make the bottoms of the shakers, too. Used liquid adhesive to put them all together. For the front of my shaker, I used some organza. I like it as it allows the sequins to move around, without falling out. The stamp set I used is the BB Adorable Elephants from MFT. The ink for the sentiment is MFT Blu Raspberry.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today!
Oh the details. Your colors are so fun and well incorporated.

This is great Golda. It is such a fun card and the colours are perfect too. I like the idea of doing a different ink on each edge of the card. Must try that on something of my own when I am actually back crafting. No time at the moment – sigh
