Cards this Weekend

So, I haven’t had much time, but did get 2 cards finished this weekend.  Wanted to share them with you.

This first one was a challenge from WeCraftCards.com, to make a round pocket card.

8-22-19 WCC Round Pocket Out

When you pull out the tags, you get this:

So much fun.

The other card I did was the MFT Sketch Challenge for the week.  I had a lot of ideas for the sketch, but not much time, so went with the easiest.  Did have fun planning out the image.

I used 4 different MFT stamp sets to do this.  My son told me llamas and cacti didn’t go together, so I looked up images and they are more mountain and hill animals, so changed up the plan a bit.

Thanks for taking the time to see what I did this weekend.  Well, most of my time was spent working on the afghan I got behind on.  I still need to finish it up, but wanted to spend some time playing with paper, rather than yarn.

  1. These are great Golda. I really like the pocket card and shall give one a try when I have more time to play. Thanks for the instruction link. The Llama one is good too – I like how you stretched out the images into a tower. Unusual but fun to view.

      1. Sometimes what we see in our head doesn’t translate to paper the way we want it to. That said the results you end up with are usually good or better.

    1. Thanks Gerry. The pocket one was fairly easy to do, once I found an apx 8″ circle to be able to cut it. 😉 It was definitely worth trying, especially if you think your granddaughter would like it.
