When you go to the beach, you wind up with sand almost everywhere. When you craft with glitter, you wind up with glitter almost everywhere.
So, when creating a beach scene, I had to use glitter to create the background. And yes, I have swept, mopped, dust mopped, and there is still glitter everywhere. And that was after using Swiffer Dusters to wipe up throughout. I’m not that much of a fan of glitter, but I do love how this turned out.
Yes, that is 4 different shades of glitter on 1 sticky background that was 9 1/8″ x 3 5/8″. I took a bit of the trimmings and tried stamping directly onto the glitter with VersaFine Clair ink. Amazingly, it worked well. So, I used the Theresa Momber set, Tropical Skies to create my scene.
This is being entered in the Double D Beach challenge, as well as the ModSquad Slimline Scene challenge.
I was also working on some glitter pieces for something I’ll post next month.
Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me today! Have a wonderful rest of your weekend, or week.
Such a lovely card! Hopefully the glitter will go away soon and not be all over the place.

It usually hangs around a couple of weeks, but I got most of it. It was worth it.

Awesome scene! Love all that sparkle with the stamping on it. A lot of work (creating and cleaning up!) but the end result is great!

Thank you Lisa! I was glad I could actually stamp on it, so it wouldn’t take away from the sparkle.

Love that you went ahead and did the glitter. I too have a love hate relationship with the stuff.

Like everyone else I love the look, but not the cleaning up part. In my case I am usually wearing it for days. The end result is almost always worth it and your card is over the top gorgeous. I bet the shine and sparkle is amazing in reality.

Awww, thank you Johanna! It really does look great in the light. It was kind of fun to pull out the glitter, even if it was a huge mess. I may use more, soon.

I can imagine your cats would sparkle, my dogs do stay out of it, but I wind up tracking it all over. Thank you for checking my card out.
