Made a card for some friends’ anniversary.  Used the MFT Sketch challenge for this week as the basis.  Not sure I’m thrilled with it, but it’s definitely different.

7-26-20 MFT Sketch

I used the Beautiful Bloom stamp, as well as the Splendid Swans set for the sentiment.  Used Opal Blaze on the embossed background.  It got all over and I spent quite a while trying to clean it up enough to look good.  It really looks better in person.

Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today!

    1. It was a sparkly yellow embossing powder, but it didn’t show up as well as hoped. Was a bit worried if I tried doing it again on top it would just make a mess, so left it.

  1. I quite like it, but understand your comment about the opal blaze. That happened to me on one card too. I agree with Bonnie that perhaps your sentiment needs a bit more pop but I love the background and flower. Very pretty.

    1. Thanks Johanna. The sentiment actually looks a bit brighter in person, but wasn’t as bright as the yellow embossing powder led me to believe it would be.

  2. Making your orange “spotlight” circles the circles on the sketch and your flower the square panel on the sketch is VERY creative! I love your metallic looking background panel as well. This is very pretty, and I’m sure your friends will love it!!
