What do you get?

What do you get when you combine 3 challenges? A doggone glittery card.

I used the current MFT Sketch Challenge, the current ModSquad challenge, and the current Double D challenge to come up with fun one.

The ModSquad challenge is to “Step Up Your Stencil. The Double D challenge is “Colorful”.

So, I used one of my MFT stencils and put some Deco Transfer Gel through it. Pulled it up, then started adding glitter that went along with my Kleenex box piece. (Yes, I do save the sides on the pretty tissue boxes.) After that was dry, I chose some ribbon that went with my colors, as well as some sequins. Definitely had a lot of fun dressing up my stencil with glitter and sequins, as well as some matching ribbon. The stamp set is also an MFT set. Every Corgi I color winds up looking somewhat like my dog. But he’s absolutely adorable, so it’s understandable.

Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me this weekend. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  1. Such a cute fun card! I love the way you dressed up your stencil. Super way to use the sketch. Love this card! I have a special place in my heart for Corgi’s.

      1. Yes! He was our second dog to adopt. He lived for 9 or so years and was a favorite. Always sleeping on his back with his legs in the air and he guarded the house and my daughter. He was a joy!

        1. Ours sleeps like that, too. My husband hates that he barks so much, but he’s keeping us informed of anything out of place, especially people, dogs, and cats close to our property. He comes and lays next to me when I’m not feeling well, too.

  2. Lol….I’m still smiling at your story. The dog is adorable as are your layering pieces and colorful stencil embellishments. Great card and fits all three challenges.

  3. I’m glad I’m not the only one who saves bits of tissue boxes. They do come in handy sometimes. Love how you made this work for more than one challenge and the work you put into the stencil really steps up the card. The dog story is also charming. I used to walk a corgi for a friend. her name was Bijou and she slipped her collar constantly so was a challenge to walk on a leash.

      1. Actually it was when we walked. She would stop pull back slightly and off came the collar. Used to freak me out until I got used to her and knew she wouldn’t run away. As we often walked through part of the native people’s land it was scary to have her loose. My friends now live in Bermuda and she is long gone, but I will never forget her or the other dog of that family. Got a really funny story about him too. But not for now.
