So the Double Trouble Challenge has a challenge for this week: Thing 1 – make something new (I used a new stamp set that I got last month), Thing 2 – snow, and Thing 2 – link to other previous partners’ challenges.

I had lots of fun making this one. You certainly can’t tell in the picture, but all that “pink” is actually red, except for the 1 different snowperson. Also, all the snow people are glittery where they are snow. It really does look better in person.
So, this should fit for the following challenges:
The Crafter’s Café Challenge Blog and the Use Your Stuff: #411 Mood Board challenge. I really liked the green and red colors throughout the mood board. So, I used green and red (it really is a nice red, not the pink it looks) for everything but the 1 snowman (goes with the sentiment inside). I also really like the warmth of the fire, the lights, and the cocoa, which made me think of it being cold outside.
Here’s another snowperson card I made:

You can almost see the glitter of the snow people on a couple of them on this card.
As my son will never look on here, this is a card I made for him for Christmas day:

My silhouette was not playing nice, so you can still see some rough edges, even after I sanded them down. Oh well.
I used the Newton’s Nook stamp set: Frozen Fellowship.
Thanks for spending some time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your week.
I just love the snow people you have created. It is a fantastic card on so many levels and I think the colouring is perfect. Don’t know why the camera changes colours on occasion but I believe you when you say it is red not pink. That said even the pink hue looks good. I assume that it is an entire stamp of people rather than you individually masking? The one for your son is cute too. That gnome really looks great.

It is one big stamp. It’s fun to color them all a bit different. Thank you so very much for always taking the time to look and comment, Johanna. It means a lot to me! You encourage me.

Such a fun stamp and your places to color is perfect. The gnome is very complete and makes quite the statement. Your personel sentiments makes me happy and think I need to do that more often. The rough edges is why I switched to 60 lb. instead of 65. Plus I don’t like to try to cut twice for the thicker paper. Stick with what works easy. This is suppose to be for fun.

Good to know. I think this was 80lb paper. I’ll try the 60lb and see if it works better. I wound up having to recut most of the pieces, as my Silhouette has some issues with catching the mat and just grinding. Haven’t figured that one out, yet.
Sometimes I just can’t find the right sentiment, so just have to go with my own idea. It works. Maybe not as clean as a stamped sentiment, but it’s more personal.

I love that you do this. Your printing looks like it is a font made to look like hand printing.

Sometimes I want something specific, so have to work to do it. It took a bit longer and is a bit rough around the edges, but it was still fun. It’s always fun to stretch and try new things, or difficult things and actually accomplish them. I’ve found a few that just aren’t worth the effort that way, too.

Adorable stack of snowmen and love the choice of colors on both of them. Unique that you did one snowman different than all the others. And your gnome is adorable. As info only: I find too when I use too thick of a cardstock it has rough edges. Even with the thinner cardstock (especially with words) I flip it horizontal (mirror image) and the cut for the words on the other side are better. Or ask it to cut a second time before you pull out of machine. Thanks for coming back Golda. Next month we are pairing up with another challenge that would like to see cricut or silhouette cuts, hope to see you there.

Thanks for the tip Sue. I’ll definitely try flipping it over to cut. I’m looking forward to your next challenge.

What a happy bunch of snowmen! Love the coloring on their accessories. Your gnome is so cute and love that your card has the outline shape of gnome too. Most of my silhouette cuts look jagged which is probably one reason I don’t pull it out all that often. Great cards.
