Sometimes you just need a card to let someone know they are in your prayers. I made 2 of them and both are going out in tomorrow’s mail. Sad, but necessary.

This first one is for an older woman at church that just needs to know she’s remembered and cared for.
For both of these cards, I used backgrounds made with shaving cream and acrylic paints. Yes, they were fun to make. I used the MFT Floral Fantasy Background stamp and some green embossing powder to give them more character. I also used the MFT Sending Prayers stamp set and die-namic. They also have blue, yellow, green, and white card stock, as well as some adhesive. I used both tape and liquid adhesives to get the panel to stay on the card base. The shaving cream makes the card stock it was done on a bit slippery and it doesn’t like to stick very well.

This second one is for a family that lost their baby in childbirth. I can’t even imagine how horrible that is. But, they know God, so they have hope.
On this one, I cut the background down a bit and left a bit of the white border showing. Everything else is the same as the first. Granted, trying to put die cuts with sticky on the back onto the background, have it stick and get it to line up correctly was a lot of work. They aren’t exactly they same, but the same basic layout.
These are going both on the MFT Sketch challenge for the week, and the SSS Wednesday challenge of making your own background.
Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today. You are appreciated.
Both lovely cards! Sorry that you have to send these, especially for the family that lost the baby. They will appreciate this card and the prayers.

How sad for the family, can’t imagine that kind of pain. These cards are just right for both situations. Love the background.

Lovely backgrounds and love the simplicity of the die cut sentiment. I also like the small white border on the second card.

Thanks Gayle. I like that one best, too. Not sure what it is about having a border, but it seems more finished.

Beautiful and perfect to send prayers to those who need them. Love your colorful backgrounds and how you embossed the background image over it.

Thanks Lisa. It’s fun to just do a bunch of backgrounds, then be able to change them up and use them how you want to.
