Had time to do one more card that works for both of the MFT challenges this week: sketch and color.

Had a lot of fun doing the background of strips of the correct color of card, then colored using those colors, as well.
I thought about using the full panel for the background, then figured I would show a way to cut it down, so it’s the same size as a small slimline, so perfectly follows the sketch challenge, while still being an A2 sized card. My piece was cut down first to just show a white border around the edges of an A2 card, then I cut it to 3 inches wide. Had fun changing it up.
Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your day.
Another cute card. Love the happy little succulents.

Love this! Such cute little cactus images. I pulled all of my succulent stamps out today. I seem to be getting into them as I watched a video where the demonstrator watercolored new succulent stamps. Now I own quite a few, so I probably can’t justify more, but they always draw my eye. Love these cute cactus and a wonderful background.

Lisa, I bet with all of your stamps, you have little faces that you can put with one or more of your succulent images and create your own unique ones. I love succulent stamps (desert girl here) and enjoy changing things up, too. Put a tiny mask over your stamp when you ink up, then you’ll have a spot for a face.

Thanks for the idea! I have done this with cactus images before from Lawn Fawn, but not with succulents. I think it may work! I will try it.

So fun, especially all the colors and that sentiment that ties to your cute images.

Cute and I like how you did the strips and then added matching colours to the images. Love the sentiment too.

Thanks Johanna! It was fun to use just those colors and do it in different ways. The strips were fun to do, too.

Adorable with your smiling cactus on that paper strip background. Does the cactus belong to the same set as the cowgirl on your previous card? Love it.

Thanks Gayle! Yes, that was the set I got out, so just used the same one. There’s a little cowboy, as well as the girl, a wagonwheel, the cactus, and some fun sentiments. I’m thinking there might have been something else, but already put it away.

Another cute card! Very creative to make a slimline panel on your A2 size base.
