I haven’t done one of the Hero Arts challenges in quite a while, so wanted to join in when I saw this one. The challenge is to do a spring card. I looked through the stamps I have of theirs and decided I wanted to use one of the Hero Arts Kits from way back: MH0417C. Here’s what I came up with:

I choose one of the shaving cream and acrylic paint backgrounds I did a while back that had a lot of green in it, so I can use this for the Simon Says Stamp challenges, as well. Used another background panel I did a while back that I thought would be fun for this spring looking dress. Added a bit of colored pencil and Sakura Stardust Pens to highlight a bit of color here and there in both the bouquet and her dress.
Had fun making this. Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your day and do something fun.
Golda, this is beautiful. Your coloring of the girl is amazing. I haven’t thought of the shaving cream background for years, thanks for the reminder.

Thanks Gerry. I had fun doing a bunch of backgrounds that way about a year ago. Granted, they smelled like shaving cream for several months, but are fine, now. It was a lot of fun to make them.

Such a nice card! I have shaving cream sitting here to make a shaving cream background, but so far it hasn’t happened. Maybe soon.

I will tell you that I had to use Multi Medium Matte to get anything to stick to the backgrounds I made. Not sure what was in the shaving cream, but they both smelled for a while and were a bit slick. Still having fun using them.

I want that dress….beautifully colored and looks like you fussy cut and popped it up. Shaving cream background looks great too.

Thanks Gayle! It was fussy cut and popped up. A fun spring dress is no good if it doesn’t look like it’s swishing around. 😉

I always mean to try the shave cream technique and never do. Love the background you made using it and that dress is gorgeous. I’d wear it myself. A wonderful creation.

Thank you Johanna! The shaving cream technique is fun and you get great pieces from it. Some better than others, but then you can add more on top.
