Okay, this card is also being entered in the MFT Sketch Challenge for the week. It, however, gets it’s own post as it just makes me happy.

For the background on this one, I used some tissue paper I had used for a while to clean up watercolor ink messes and just like the look of. I glued that onto a piece of thin white card. Left a bit of wrinkle and bubble here and there as it adds texture and is just fun to look at. In my last post, I explained how I did each of the 3 texture pieces on the left. For this one, I also added a sentiment cut from glitter paper and glued that on a piece of vellum, then glued that (liquid adhesive – Elmer’s glue) over the popped up rose piece and down onto the background. Added a few gems and was done. I did rip the tissue paper along the edges, so there are bits that are left hanging off. I usually like neat and tidy, but this just appealed to me. It adds a bit more texture, too.
This one really just calms me down and lets me go “ahhh”.
Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today!
Love your “ahhh” moment and the card you created. The background piece is awesome especially since it cleaned up your inks….perfect.

Thanks Gayle! It’s been fun learning to clean up in different ways and use the pieces as part of projects.
