My Favorite Things had a Camp Create this week. I wasn’t able to participate daily, as work and life got in the way, but I did play.
Day 1 was Wonderful Watercolor:
The challenge was to use some form of watercolor. So, I did a watercolor background. I actually used a couple of different blues from the Ken Oliver Color Burst line, lots of water, and I added a bit of Perfect Pearls powder to it for some sparkle.
As it is July and I am very behind on Christmas cards, I decided to do each challenge as a Christmas card.
For this set, I used the BB Beast Friends set.
I added some shimmer white paint at the bottom for my snow. I had stamped a few foot prints, so painted around those to look like they had sunk into the snow a bit.
This was definitely a fun one.
Thanks for spending some time with me today!
Okay, I saw the MFT sketch for this week and had a bunch of ideas come to me. As I was eating lunch with my husband the other day, this popped into my head.
Flipped the sketch on it’s side.
I did move 1 piece to make it more “submarine” like and stuck with the colors from the current MFT color challenge.
Now, as the Simon Says Stamp Blog Monday challenge was Transportation, this week, I’m entering it in that, too.
The dark grey that I used was a shimmer sheet, as I wanted it to look like a submarine and those are shiny metal. Had fun coloring my Yeti in shades of pink, too.
Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today!
Well, I only had time to make 1 card today, but I do want to share it with you. This one is pretty plain and simple, but I designed it for my cousin for his birthday. I think he’ll like it.
The idea came to me as I was putting away the BB Adorable Elephants set, yesterday, as the BB Beast Friends set is stored next to it. I actually thought I could get more Yeti going up the side, but only wound up being able to fit 2. Using this for the MFT Sketch Challenge this week. It’s adjusted slightly due to to placement of my images, but I had fun with this one. Now, I took a couple of the sentiments and only inked up part of the sentiment and stamped it to make my own sentiment. Inside it says, “Happy Birthday The Best is YETI to come.” I’m hoping my cousin gets as big a kick out of it as I had making it. My husband and son got a kick out of it, as well.
Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today. Sorry the picture isn’t the greatest. I really need to work on better lighting and set up. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend. If all goes well, I’ll see you again, soon.
Made a card last Sunday afternoon, while spending time with a friend. Never had time to share it, however. So, made another card today. Wanted to share them both with you.
This one is using a new MFT stamp set called Cutieasaurus. It certainly is cute! This one is for the current MFT Color Challenge.
This next one was made with MFT BB Beast Friends. I really enjoy this set!
This one is for the MFT Sketch Challenge this week, as well as the We Craft Cards challenge to use both washi tape (the cute animals at the bottom) and twine.
Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me today!
