Treat Yourself Crop Blog Hop

There is an awesome crop going on over at CardMaker Magazine CardSwaps this week.  Challenges and games will be posted August 8-11, 2012 and you have until 11:59PM EST August 14, 2012 to get your projects posted to the appropriate thread.  If you haven’t participated before, don’t worry!  There are many members that will be around to offer support and encouragement.  You can find out all you need to know in the forum.  At the end of the hop, you will be taken to the crop and I do hope you join in.  Collect the letters along the way and unscramble them to be entered into the drawing for a prize for one lucky hopper!  You will be given details at the bottom of the post.  Please keep reading!

OK… You should have arrived here from ?? blog.  If not, go back and check out that blog and collect your letter.  Then collect my letter and hop on.  If you want to start over, feel free to start back with Brooke on the CardMaker Magazine blog.

The blog hop “theme” goes with the crop title of “Treat Yourself”.  I seem to always be busy with something, so when I want to treat myself, I like to take some time and just read.  Now, I generally read a book on my Nook, so I don’t need a bookmark, but there are times I read an actual paper book, so I need one, then.

Supplies:

  • White 120lb Pure Luxury card stock from Gina K. (1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″)
  • Enjoy the Sunshine stamp set from Gina K.
  • Cottage Ivy Memento ink
  • Bic Mark-It markers
  • Butterfly Eyelet was purchased at Michael’s who knows how long ago.  I think it was by Making Memories.
  • Crop-A-Dile by We R Memory Keepers (love this thing!)

Unscramble It game for hoppers… You will be unscrambling a word once you collect a letter from each blog.  The hostesses can play along, because we don’t know any of the letters but our own.  Once you collect ALL the letters, the last hostess in the blog hop will direct you to the thread in the forum where you can find all the details you need to enter the drawing.  All hoppers collecting all the letters, unscrambling the word or phrase, entering the game by following the directions in the forum, and leaving feedback on EVERY blog in the hop WILL be entered into a random drawing held on August 15, 2012.  ONE lucky hopper will have their name drawn and will win a prize.  How fun!   The winner will be posted in the forum on the game thread for the Time To Shine Unscramble It!  So, make sure you visit every blog and find the letters.  Your hints are… it’s a phrase, it has three words, and it’s a way to keep balance in one’s life.

My letter is…W

Now, be sure to hop along, collect all the letters, leave some love on each blog and then hop on over to the forum with all your letters and unscramble the phrase.  Check out the challenges and play some games while you’re there.  It’s a lot of fun and you just might win an amazing prize from CardMaker Magazine and Elmer’s.

Now, hop on over to Meredith’s amazing blog!

Winter Warm Up Blog Hop

There is an awesome crop going on over at CardSwaps this week.  Challenges and games will be posted February 8-11, 2012 and you have until February 14, 2012 to get your projects posted to the appropriate thread.  If you haven’t participated before, don’t worry!  There are many members that will be around to offer support and encouragement.  You can find out all you need to know in the forum.  So… AFTER the hop… you will be taken to the crop and I do hope you join in.  There is a prize on the line for blog hoppers and you are getting closer to the end, so keep on hopping.

The blog hop “theme” goes with the crop title of “Winter Warm Up”.  The only requirement was that the completed item had to make you smile and bring some warm, fuzzy feelings to the cold, cold Winter months.  If you live in an area where your winter doesn’t get cold…. well… enjoy your warmth and everyone’s warm ideas.

I live in Phoenix, AZ, so it doesn’t get really cold here during winter.  (I was born and raised here, so our winter is cold to me.)  However, when I think of ways to warm up in winter, I think of getting out and exercising.  My wonderful husband and I, as well as our kids, love to play tennis, so that is one way we warm up.

So… the game for hoppers… You will be unscrambling a word once you will collect a letter at each blog you visit.  We hostesses can play along, because we don’t know any of the letters but our own.  Once you collect ALL the letters, Ana, our last hostess in the blog hop will direct you to the thread in the forum where you can find all the details you need to enter the drawing.  All hoppers collecting all the letters, unscrambling the word or phrase, entering the game by following the directions in the forum, and leaving feedback on EVERY blog they visit WILL be entered into a random drawing held on February 15, 2012.  ONE lucky hopper will have their name drawn and will win a prize!!  So, make sure you visit every blog and find the letters. Your only hints are… it’s a phrase and it’s a way paper crafters warm up.

OK… You should have arrived here from Jane’s.  If not, start at the beginning and collect your letters.  Then collect my letter and hop on, friend.

My letter is… O

In case you get lost, here is the list of blogs:

The next stop on your hop today is Angelina’s blog.  Check out her amazing project, then keep on hopping!

Thanks for spending some time with me today!  Enjoy the hop and then the crop!

I Have Been Blessed

I am so glad you joined me today for the Autumn Blessings Blog Hop.  It goes along with the Autumn Blessings Crop at CardSwaps.  The crop is from November 16-19, 2011 and you have until November 22, 2011 to get your projects posted to the challenge threads and in the drawings for prizes.  It’s a lot of fun.  At the end of the blog hop, you’ll hop right on over to the CardSwaps board.  We hope to see you there!  You should have gotten here from Judy’s amazing blog.  Her work is always fantastic and often vintage.  If you haven’t seen the blogs before mine, please start at the beginning of the hop so you don’t miss anything!

If you haven’t noticed, the theme of this blog hop is: I have been blessed.  I bet you can think of several things, people, or circumstances you have been blessed with.  When I started thinking about what I have been blessed with, the list was never-ending.  As “never-ending” is a bit broad, I started trying to narrow it down and came to the family and the craftiness God has blessed me with.  I have an amazingly wonderful husband, two fantastic children (though they are both actually adults, now), two great dogs, a loving family, great in-laws, a wonderful brother, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and I still have one grandmother, plus one of my husband’s grandmothers.  Whew!  And that is just the start.  While I was thinking about all God has blessed me with, I thought of the crafting abilities He gave me.  Which made me think about how talented my daughter, my mother and my grandmother are.  My niece is pretty talented, too.  So, I made a card for my grandmother that shows her crafty legacy going down through the generations.  My grandmother is on the top – she makes amazing quilts, sews, and does many other crafty things; then my mother who weaves, sews, spins, and so much more; next comes me, who can sew (though not nearly as well as my mother and grandmother or even my daughter), make cards, candles, bows and a few other things; to my daughter who is an amazing photographer, makes cards and does fantastically intricate designs on her nails every few days; and then my niece who is just getting started in her craftiness, but she loves to draw and make things for people.

I’m all about having fun, so as she unwinds the cord, each door pops open.  Oh, I also used our favorite colors to represent each of us.  My grandmother is purple, my mom is turquoise, I used blue, my daughter is pink and my niece is green.  Here’s what it looks like when the doors are open.

Next on the hop is Ana.  And let me tell you, she is a blessing, not just to her own family and co-workers, but to me and everyone else at CardSwaps as well.

Thanks for joining me today!  I look forward to seeing you at the Autumn Blessings Crop.  So, hop on over to Ana’s blog and I’ll catch up with you later.

If you get lost on the hop, here is the list where you can find yourself again.
