MFT’s Color challenge last week used 4 of their new colors. I have this amazing friend that had purchased the color cubes to see if she liked them, was impressed, so got the regular size ink pads and gave the cubes to me. So, I actually had the colors. Swiped the pads across paper to make it the right colors, with a bit of blending between and I was set.
Sprayed some Perfect Pearls on the base, used their celebrate and heart balloons dies and had a card done fairly quickly. I did adhere a white panel inside, along with a balloon in each color.
This was quick and easy to make a simple card.
Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today! Now, go do something fun. Or, have fun doing something necessary.
The Mod Squad Challenge for now is to use white embossing and just one other color. I had a few ideas, but a friend gave me this Concord and 9th stamp set and I thought this image would work wonderfully for this challenge.
I simply embossed in white, then went back with a Wink of Stella brush pen and added a bit of sparkle, which slightly deepened the teal color of the “Love”. Added a few Nuvo Dream Drops in Cloud 9, then mounted it on a white card base. Quick, simple, and I really like the way it turned out.
Thank you for spending some of your valuable time with me today! Go out and enjoy the rest of your week.
Here is a card I made last night that would have been much simpler had I not put the 3D sticker on before trying to cut my piece. My reasoning was that I needed to know how it would fit and cut it correctly, but the thickness of the sticker meant I had to use some scissor type edgers. not as pretty, but not too bad. This is for the MFP SpeedyTV Simple Salutations challenge this week for a fall or autumn card.
I used ivory card for the small front panel, as well as the card base. Bamboo Leaves (Memento) ink actually matches the green paper and the green of the leaves in the sticker pretty well. The sticker is from a set called BW Flora & Fauna Birds and Leaves Grand Adhesions by K&Company. The embossing folder I used is Petals by Crafts-Too. The sentiment stamp is from MFP’s Christmas Bridge Mini set.
