Finishing Up

Last weekend I started several cards. I got a few finished and a few that I didn’t have time to finish. I’ve been coloring images when I had a spare minute throughout the week. Finally finished 4 of them today.

These are all StampingBella images and are what I spent the week coloring. Embossed the dark green card, then used some of the Cosmic Shimmer Opal Blaze polish on it. The gold embossed piece was from my daughter. I cut it into strips to add touches of gold. On the first one, the wings are done with different Sakura Stardust pens, so they sparkle amazingly.

Here are a couple I actually got done last weekend:

More StampingBella images. Had fun with the backgrounds, too. The top is watercolor with some splatters of metallic gold watercolor on top. The bottom is a water colored piece that I laid a stencil with water on it on top of. As soon as I lifted it up, I blotted to pull up the color. Thought the large flower background was perfect for my two little fairies.

Next are a couple I did for the Solitaire challenge at WeCraftCards this week.

For the top one, I used embossing paste through a stencil onto some patterned paper. It wasn’t nearly as white as I had expected, so after it dried, I put the stencil back over it and put white acrylic paint on top. That made it stand out and I really like it. It has texture, as well as stands out from the paper.

The second one, I used some patterned paper and the “grace” banners came with some ephemera that went with the paper pad. I really like how it turned out.

I have one more piece I worked on last weekend, but I haven’t figured out exactly what I want to do with it. I also have another idea for clear embossing paste and inking. So, you’ll probably see something from me again in the next couple of days.

Thank you for taking some of your valuable time to come see what I’ve been working on. Have a wonderful weekend, or rest of your week, depending upon when you visit.
