“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.  See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.”  Isaiah 60:1-2

As Christians, how often do we let the darkness of the world bring us down and forget that God’s glory is upon us and we are to be a light for others.  I need to remember that I am a light to the darkness around me.  It’s not my job to get people to God, that is the Holy Spirit’s job.  I’m just here to be a light, so others can see what God can do.  If He will save and use me, He can save and use anyone.

“Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God and walk in all His ways and keep His commandments and hold fast to Him and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”  Joshua 22:5

My husband is working on memorizing this verse right now because it really stood out to him with the “hold fast” or “cling” to God.  Clinging to God is not easy as there are so many distractions surrounding us.  I hope you, along with me, will work on clinging to God.  I have to look at it as if I’m falling off the edge of the Grand Canyon and I need to cling to God to keep me from falling.  The great thing is, I absolutely know that He can and will save me.  He’ll save you, too!
