Christmas In July

It’s always nice to bring in a little cool in July, or at least to think about it.  Here are two Christmas cards I did this week for two separate sketch challenges.

This one was made using some paper and chipboard elements from My Mind’s Eye called “Snowed In” Christmas Papers.  The “Enjoy” is from the Mother’s Magnolia’s stamp set by Mark’s Finest Papers a Heinrich Collection.  I traced over the stamped word with a red Sakura glaze pen.  The ribbon is Celebrate It Basic Narrows from Michael’s.  This one goes with the Friends of SpeedyTV Challenge.

When my husband saw this one, he asked why I had a duck on a Christmas card.  My son looks over and says, “It’s a goose.”  My husband replied, “Oh, now I see it.  It’s dinner.”  That wasn’t really my intent, but it works.  This one goes with the Sketch With a Twist challenge at MFPSpeedyTV.

For this one I used:

  • Spring Mix stamp set by Gina K. Stamps
  • Tree Silhouettes stamp set by Gina K. Stamps
  • Winter Wonderland stamp set by Gina K. Stamps
  • Christmas Borders stamp set by Recollections
  • The Winter Magic Stack by DCWV
  • Red Sakura Glaze pen

Thanks for spending some time with me today!  Hopefully this helped cool you off a bit.

    1. Thanks, Kate! It was fun doing some more Christmas cards. I always do a lot that are different before I choose what my cards for the year will be.
