Take time to check out the fun crop at Card Maker Card Swaps this week. Challenges and games will be posted May 16-19, 2012 and you have until May 22, 2012 to get your projects posted to the appropriate thread. If you haven’t participated before, don’t worry, there are many members that will be around to offer support and encouragement. You can find out all you need to know in the forum. At the end of the hop, you will be at the crop. Collect the letters along the way and unscramble them to enter into the drawing for a prize for one lucky hopper! You will be given details at the bottom of the post.
The blog hop “theme” goes with the crop title of “Time To Shine”. The only criteria the project has to meet is that it has to be able to be used for a day in which someone has their “time to shine”, such as birthdays, graduations, weddings, or whatever. We were also asked to share something about our favorite memory of a day when it was our “time to shine”.
You should have gotten here from Anya’s blog. Isn’t her work wonderful! If you didn’t come from there, please start at the beginning and work your way through. You’ll be glad you did.
Probably the “time to shine” moment for me was when my children were born. I was literally shiny from sweat (hey, having babies is hard work) as well as being the thrilled momma. Because of my diabetes (Type 1), I was induced early with both of my kids. God really watched over both of the kids as I wasn’t supposed to have any, and if I did, they would definitely have problems in some way. They are both amazing young people who are smarter and usually wiser than I deserve, that are physically fit. Like I said, God took care of them and me. I know, the kids are the main attraction, but I figure the mom has a lot to do with it. (No, I won’t subject you, or them, to baby pictures.)
There is a couple at our church that has been married for 10 years and are finally about to have their first child. You know the arrival of this little girl is eagerly anticipated. So, I made a card for all of them in honor of the moment.
I used a Sakura Glaze pen in pink to add a bit of shine to the bear.

Unscramble It game for hoppers… You will be unscrambling a word once you will collect a letter at each blog you visit. Once you collect ALL the letters, the last hostess in the blog hop will direct you to the thread in the forum where you can find all the details you need to enter the drawing. All hoppers collecting all the letters, unscrambling the word or phrase, entering the game by following the directions in the forum, and leaving feedback on EVERY blog they visit WILL be entered in to a random drawing held on May 23, 2012. ONE lucky hopper will have their name drawn and will win a prize!! Fun, right?? So, make sure you visit every blog and find the letters. Your hints are… it’s a phrase, it has four words, and it’s a way you will be able to shine.
My letter is… S
