Birthday by Sketch

My Favorite Things has a fun sketch this week. I needed to make another birthday card for my son-in-law and get it in today’s mail. I used the sketch and came up with this:

Happy Birth-YAY

Used an MFT set by Birdie Brown and colored it with alcohol markers. I’m not sure what type of paper I stamped it on, but it might have been Bristol. Actually had fun coloring it. After I cut it out, I held it up against a few backgrounds I’d previously made, until I found that I liked the look of this one, with the blue at the bottom. None of my oval dies were big enough, so I used a Creative Memories tool.

Used a couple different patterned papers out of an MFT birthday set. The sentiment is on the inside, as is another piece of the oval paper lined up with the blue at the bottom.

I really like the way this turned out and I got it written in and in the mail in time. That’s always a good thing.

Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me today!
