Mother’s Day

Apparently, I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been busy and haven’t had much time to make cards, but I did make 4 Mother’s Day cards, so figured I’d share them. Nope, not for a challenge, though I did use the first one in a fold challenge on WeCraftCards.

Mother In Law

Took a class a couple of weeks ago on making flowers. This was the 2nd card I made with this type of flower. Had fun with this, though the class wasn’t great. Granted, I had had my second vaccine shot the day before and was feeling pretty horrible during the class, so that may have something to do with my attitude.

Grandmother

This one I made for my grandmother and was according to one of the class card directions. I like the way this one turned out, though my MILs is more fun.

Mom

This is the one I made for my mom. The whole card was based around the paper I found that I wanted to use for the flowers. Unfortunately, the paper was Yupo paper which was incredibly difficult to shape, especially as I didn’t have the special tool the teacher said we needed for sweat peas. Oh well, a lot of work, but I like it. Probably wouldn’t have kept trying to shape the Yupo paper, had I not already done the rest of the card.

Abbie

This last one was made for my niece, who is pregnant. This one I used pieces from a paper and pieces set. Added a couple of fun butterfly stickers to it, too. It does continue a bit inside. I’m not fond of step cards, as there is very little room to write, so I did the back “step” as a card base and glued it to the step card. It opens up to a full inside, with room to decorate a bit and write.

Granted, I did not do envelopes for any of these cards. The flower cards are hand deliver, or make a box and pay a ton to mail. So, Mother’s Day, where all will be hand delivered.

Thanks for spending some of your valuable time with me! Have a wonderful Mother’s Day, whether you are a mother, or a “child”.

  1. All quite beautiful! All of the mothers or mother to be will love them. My second COVID shot is Tuesday. I plan to not be doing anything.

    1. Thanks Lisa. You may want to clear out Wednesday, too. Some of us got it bad, but others had nothing at all, or just a little. Hopefully it isn’t bad for you.
